Hiking & Biking North Idaho Centennial Trail: A scenic 24-mile loop trail taking hikers to numerous Lake Coeur d'Alene overlooks. Route of the Hiawatha: The crown jewel of Rail Trails! A 13-mile historic rail trail through nine train tunnels and across seven sky high trestles for mountain biking and hiking. Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes: More than 72 miles of paved path through the historic Silver Valley, into the Chain Lake region, along the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, through Heyburn State Park and the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation.
Silverwood Theme Park just 15 minutes south, is the largest theme park in the Northwest offering thrilling roller coasters, steam locomotive tours, magic and ice show performances, theme restaurants and Boulder Beach Water Park, which features a gigantic wave pool, tube slides, a 3-slide high-speed body slide complex, a lazy river and a 580-gallon bucket dump waterfall.
Colleges & Universities University of Idaho, Lewis & Clark College, North Idaho College classes and degree programs are just minutes away.
State Parks Farragut State Park: Just 15 minutes away, and located on Idaho's largest body of water, Lake Pend Oreille, this 4,000-acre park is a base camp for boating, swimming, biking and hiking. It also features a model airplane flying field, a disc golf course and a shooting range. Old Cataldo Mission of the Sacred Heart is the State's oldest building, circa 1850. Make it a "must-see" part of your tour in Idaho's famous Silver Valley.

Sandpoint, an easy 15 minute drive north, is home to Schweitzer Mountain Resort and Coldwater Creek. Many acclaimed artists call this quaint town home. Year round activities are on your doorstep . . . Festival at Sandpoint, International Draft Horse Show, Bonner Country Fair & Rodeo, The Winter Carnival and the popular 4th of July Celebration.
Coeur d'Alene, a comfortable 35 minute drive south . . . There you'll find the Coeur d'Alene Resort and it's world famous golf course with the world's only floating green. Coeur d'Alene hosts the annual Iron Man competition. You'll also find the Coeur d' Alene Symphony Orchestra as well as a wealth of cultural events.
